SITE VISIT REPORT: FACADE WATERPROOFING & INTERIOR PRIMER PROGRESS
Project Name: Proposed Villa Location: Block M, Plot 315, Mohammed Bin Zayed City (MBZC), Fujairah Date of Visit: March 26, 2026 Time of Visit: 10:00 AM Report Prepared By: Engineer Adeel Arif (Site Engineer)
____________
I. Purpose of Visit:
To verify the total completion of the external waterproofing membrane and inspect the progress of the internal painting preparation for the Ground and First Floors.
II. Observations & Progress Status:
The project at MBZC Villa M-315 has reached a critical hand-over point for the external finishes:
- External Facade Readiness: The bitumen on the complete villa has been applied to all outside walls. This comprehensive waterproofing layer is now 100% finished. As the owner does not require external paint, this stage is vital to allow the owner’s specialized contractor to start stone works immediately. The bitumen provides the necessary moisture barrier before the stone cladding is installed.
- Internal Finishes: Inside plaster is completed throughout the villa. Currently, the primer paint works are in progress, creating a uniform and sealed surface for the final decorative paint layers.
- Logistical Constraints: The boundary wall stays incomplete at this stage. This delay is strictly due to the fact that blocks are short from the supplier, preventing the masonry team from finalizing the perimeter enclosure.
- Site Activity: Currently, no other works are ongoing on-site as we prioritize the completion of the interior primer and await the arrival of the boundary wall materials.
III. Directives & Next Steps:
- Stone Work Coordination: I have notified the owner that the exterior is officially ready. The stone works team can now mobilize without delay to begin the facade installation.
- Supply Chain Follow-up: I have contacted the block factory to expedite the delivery of the remaining masonry units so the boundary wall can be finished to secure the plot.
- Primer Quality: Ensure the primer paint works are protected from dust during the drying process to maintain a smooth internal finish.
IV. Concluding Remarks:
Villa M-315 is now technically prepared for its stone facade. With the bitumen works finalized and inside plaster completed, the villa’s structural protection is secured. Our immediate focus is resolving the shortage of blocks to complete the boundary wall while the owner manages the external stone cladding in Fujairah. For previous report click here.
