SITE VISIT REPORT: COMMERCIAL SHOP FOUNDATION & SITE COMPLIANCE

Project Name: Proposed Shops Building Location: Block F, Plot C2, Mohammed Bin Zayed City (MBZC) Date of Visit: November 3, 2025 Time of Visit: 9 AM Report Prepared By: Engineer Adeel Arif (Site Engineer)

____________

I. Purpose of Visit:

To inspect the initiation of the foundation steel works following geotechnical approval and ensure overall site compliance with Fujairah Municipality (FM) safety and logistical regulations.

II. Observations & Progress Status:

The subgrade preparation at MBZC Plot C2 is complete, allowing for the progression to structural elements:

  • Geotechnical Status: Compaction and testing for both the Natural Soil and Road Base beneath the foundation are complete and approved.
  • Foundation Steel Works: The placement of steel reinforcement for the building foundations is actively underway and progressing at a good speed.
  • Technical Issues: Minor technical issues were identified in three specific foundation locations.

III. Directives & Immediate Corrections:

To maintain quality and avoid regulatory penalties, the following directives were issued:

  • Foundation Rectification: The technical issues found in the three affected foundations must be immediately addressed and rectified according to the approved structural drawings before steel placement is finalized in those areas.
  • PCC Continuity: The gaps identified between the sections of the PCC (Plain Cement Concrete) layer must be closed and filled before starting the steel work for the main STB (Strap/Tie Beams).
  • Site Perimeter and Logistics:
    • Fencing and Safety: Fencing and necessary safety measures must be immediately implemented and maintained strictly in accordance with all Fujairah Municipality (FM) regulations.
    • Excavated Soil Removal: The accumulated excavated soil must be immediately removed from the site to prevent the imposition of an FM fine for site obstruction.
    • Material Storage: All construction materials stored outside the official plot limit must be moved and contained within the boundaries of Plot C2.

IV. Concluding Remarks:

Progress on the shop foundation steel is proceeding well, but immediate attention is required to rectify the three identified technical issues and, more importantly, to achieve full compliance with FM regulations regarding site organization, fencing, and material control. Zero tolerance for penalties (e.g., excavated soil fine) is mandatory.
