I. Purpose of Visit:
To oversee and document the casting of the Plain Cement Concrete (PCC) layer below the main foundations and confirm the concrete mix used.
II. Attendees:
- Owner: Mohamed Ahmed Darweish
- Consultant Engineer: Engineer Ahmed
- Contractor Engineer: Engineer Adeel Arif
III. Observations & Progress Status:
A significant step toward structural commencement was completed today:
- PCC Casting: The Plain Cement Concrete (PCC) layer beneath the main villa foundations was successfully cast. This provides a level, clean, and stable base for the main structural foundation.
- Pre-Casting Compliance: The PCC casting followed the successful approval of the Road Base Compaction Test and the mandatory application of the Pest Control Spray to the foundation area.
- Concrete Specification: The concrete used for the PCC was confirmed to be the specified mix of C25/20 with a cement content of 300 kg/m³.
IV. Directives & Next Steps:
- Curing Period: The site team is instructed to allow adequate time for the PCC to fully harden and cure before proceeding to the next stage.
- Foundation Steel Preparation: While waiting for the PCC hardening, the team must continue the final preparation of the foundation steel reinforcement and ensure the appropriate concrete cover blocks are ready for immediate placement.
- Consultant Coordination: The Consultant Engineer and Owner confirmed satisfaction with the current base preparation during the visit. The next inspection will be for the final foundation steel placement.
V. Concluding Remarks:
The foundation base at Ghizmri Farfar, Plot A-420, is now successfully completed, meeting all necessary pre-casting requirements (Road Base and Pest Control). The project is set to move into the crucial phase of main foundation steel installation immediately after the PCC layer has fully hardened. For previous report click here.
