SITE VISIT REPORT: BLOCK WORK PROGRESS & MORTAR CONTROL

Project Name: Proposed Villa Location: Block F, Plot 154, Mohammed Bin Zayed City (MBZC), Fujairah Date of Visit: November 6, 2025 Time of Visit: 11:00 AM Report Prepared By: Engineer Adeel Arif (Site Engineer)

____________

I. Purpose of Visit:

To inspect the ongoing progress of block work, verify adherence to specified mortar thickness, and ensure quality control standards are maintained.

II. Observations & Progress Status (Block Work):

The site visit confirmed accelerated activity in the block work phase:

  • Ground Floor (GF) Block Work: Progress stands at approximately 50-60% completion. The external and internal wall division is taking shape.
  • First Floor (FF) Block Work: Construction has successfully commenced on the First Floor. The first layer of solid block is actively being laid, setting the perimeter and internal divisions for the upper level.

III. Directives & Immediate Quality Control:

The following instruction was issued to the site team to maintain structural quality and dimensional accuracy:

  • Mortar Thickness Compliance (CRITICAL):
    • Action Required: The site team was strictly advised that the minimum thickness for the block laying mortar must be maintained at 15 mm.
    • Rationale: Consistent and sufficient mortar thickness is essential for achieving the required wall strength, ensuring proper load transfer, and maintaining the overall wall dimensions as per the approved design.

IV. Concluding Remarks:

The project at MBZC Plot 154, Fujairah, shows good progression with block work actively running on both the ground and first floors. The primary focus for the immediate next phase is ensuring meticulous control over the 15 mm mortar thickness standard to guarantee the structural integrity and quality of the finished walls.
