I. Purpose of Visit:
To verify the preparedness of the foundation subgrade (natural soil) following final compaction and to initiate the official Fujairah Municipality (FM) inspection process for geotechnical approval.
II. Observations & Geotechnical Readiness:
The site visit confirmed the following critical preparations for the foundation stage:
- Soil Treatment and Compaction: The natural subgrade below the proposed villa foundation level has been correctly treated, watered, and compacted using heavy rollers.
- Natural Density Test: The required preliminary Natural Density Test has been applied to the compacted soil layer. Results show that the achieved compaction meets the necessary project specifications for stability and settlement criteria.
- Testing Application: The compacted site is now ready for the official Fujairah Municipality (FM) Geotechnical Inspection, including the field Density Test and verification of the corresponding laboratory-derived Proctor Test (BS 1377-2) results.
- Site Compliance:
- The perimeter fence has been fully erected, securing the work area.
- A proper signboard is correctly displayed at the site entrance, ensuring full adherence to all local Fujairah regulations.
III. Actions Taken & Next Steps:
- FM Inspection Application: The formal application has been submitted to the Fujairah Municipality for the official geotechnical tests (Density and Proctor) on the compacted natural subgrade.
- Documentation Ready: All related documents, including the Proctor Test results from the approved laboratory and the field density measurements, are prepared for immediate submission to the FM Engineer upon arrival.
- Continuation: Site operations are currently on hold for foundation excavation until the official FM approval for the foundation base is secured.
IV. Concluding Remarks:
The site at A/420 Ghizmri Farfar, Fujairah, is structurally compliant, securely fenced, and the soil compaction for the foundation subgrade has been successfully completed. We anticipate a swift inspection and approval from the Fujairah Municipality to proceed rapidly to the next critical stage of the foundation works.
