SITE VISIT REPORT: MUNICIPALITY INSPECTION & GRADE SLAB APPROVAL

I. Purpose of Visit:
To conduct a joint final inspection with the Fujairah Municipality (FM) Engineer and the Consultant for the approval of Grade Slab reinforcement and preparation before concrete casting.
II. Attendees:
- FM Engineer: Engr. Anwar
- Consultant Engineer: Engr. Balaji
- Contractor Engineer: Engineer Adeel Arif
III. Observations & Progress Status:
The project has reached a major structural milestone following the completion of the substructure:
- Substructure Readiness: Following the successful casting of tie beams and the completion of compacted backfilling, the site has transitioned to the surface slab phase.
- Reinforcement Inspection: The steel for grade slab was fully laid and inspected. FM Engineer Anwar and the Consultant confirmed that the steel mesh and spacing are in strict accordance with the approved structural drawings.
- Waterproofing & Protection: It was verified that the bitumen sheet (damp-proof membrane) has been correctly placed on the internal perimeter of the tie beams. This ensures a proper thermal expansion joint and moisture barrier where the 10 cm grade slab concrete will meet the beams.
- Inspection Outcome: The inspection was officially approved for the pouring of the 10 cm concrete grade slab.
IV. Regulatory Compliance & Site Logistics:
- External Debris Issue: During the perimeter check, FM Engineer Anwar noted an accumulation of debris (aggregate and sand) located outside the plot limit.
- Responsibility Directive: Although this material does not belong to our project, the FM Engineer clarified that we must file a formal complaint in the FM online system. Failure to report this third-party encroachment will result in the legal and financial responsibility for the removal of the material falling on our project.
V. Concluding Remarks:
The F C2 Shops project is proceeding with high technical and regulatory standards. With the grade slab steel okay and FM approval secured, we are ready for concrete casting.
