SITE VISIT REPORT: WATERPROOFING MILESTONES & CERAMIC INSTALLATION
Project Name: Proposed Villa Location: Block G, Plot 549, Mohammed Bin Zayed City (MBZC), Fujairah Date of Visit: March 03, 2026 Time of Visit: 9:00 AM Report Prepared By: Engineer Adeel Arif (Site Engineer)
____________
I. Purpose of Visit:
To inspect the quality of external waterproofing applications and verify the completion status of specialized wet-area tiling before the main floor ceramics arrive.
II. Observations & Progress Status:
The site at MBZC Villa G-549 is making steady progress toward the final aesthetic and protective phases:
- External Protection: Bitumen works on outside walls are currently in progress. This high-quality waterproofing layer is a mandatory prerequisite to ensure the structure is sealed before the stone works (cladding) are carried out on the facade.
- Wet Area Finishes: The inside bath and kitchen ceramics work is almost completed. The wall tiling in these critical areas has been executed to a high standard, allowing for upcoming fixture installations.
- Material Logistics: The ceramic for the rest of the house has been officially ordered. The site is prepared for immediate installation upon the arrival of the shipment to maintain the finishing schedule.
- Electrical Services: Electrical wiring works are also in progress throughout the villa, moving from the conduit stage to the actual cable pulling for the final circuits.
III. Directives & Next Steps:
- Bitumen Quality: I have instructed the team to ensure the bitumen coating is uniform and covers all corners to provide a perfect bond for the stone adhesive.
- Inventory Readiness: Clear all floor areas immediately to ensure that once the main floor ceramics arrive, there are no logistical delays in starting the installation.
- Wiring Safety: Ensure all pulled wires are properly tagged and protected at the DB (Distribution Board) level as the MEP work continues.
IV. Concluding Remarks:
Villa G-549, MBZC, is successfully moving through the finishing checklist. By finalizing the bath and kitchen ceramics and completing the bitumen works, we are laying the foundation for a durable and beautiful home. The project remains on track, and our focus is now on the arrival of the remaining tiling materials to complete the interior in Fujairah. For previous report click here.
